Lara Fritts, Executive Director
A native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Ms. Fritts is a proven leader with an impressive track record in building private-public partnerships. Her results oriented approach led the SFDC to appoint her executive director in June 2005. In this capacity, Ms. Fritts has been responsible for the delivery of SFDC’s marketing, economic restructuring and urban design efforts. Prior to joining the SFDC, Ms. Fritts was the president of the Washington D.C. Technology Council. With over 13 years of economic development education and practice, Ms. Fritts has been responsible for the creation of four economic development corporations and has led the turnaround of two non profit organizations. She received her undergraduate degree in Regional Analysis from the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay and a master’s degree in Urban Studies from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. Ms. Fritts currently resides with her husband in Fort Washington, Maryland, and is a licensed real estate agent. Anne Richardson, Marketing and Communications Manager
Ms. Anne Richardson is a dynamic, results-driven communications professional. She specializes in public relations and creative design, and has background ranging from international public relations to local, business-to-business communication. At the Flagstaff, Arizona, Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Richardson designed, produced and disseminated public education and member recruitment campaigns. Since relocating to Washington, D.C. Ms. Richardson has managed publications, created marketing plans and spearheaded the website launch for a local non-profit organization. She has also performed free-lance graphic design work for several non-profit organizations and small businesses. Anne studied public relations at Northern Arizona University, where she received her bachelor’s degree.
