WMATA is planning to issue a RFP for the redevelopment of land around Huntington Metro Station. Specifically, the Huntington Avenue as well as the N. Kings Highway garages are targeted for demolition and redevelopment (originally built in 1983). Redevelopment of land around Huntington Metro Station would also include incorporation of the terminus for the Bus Rapid Transit Station as part of Fairfax County’s Embark Richmond Highway initiative.
