The SFDC has two volunteer committees that serve as SFDC’s organs for outreach, advisement, and project implementation.

MCAPT Committee
Marketing, Community, Appearance, Planning, and Transportation
The MCAPT Committee focuses on public outreach, event planning for educational and community events, communication strategies and image development of SFDC & the Richmond Highway Corridor, and efforts to improve the maintenance and beautification along the Corridor.
WHEN
The MCAPT Committee meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 8:30 am.

Economic Development Committee
The Economic Development Committee focuses on expanding the commercial tax base in southeast Fairfax through business retention, business recruitment, promotional videos by SFDC and Fairfax County Channel 16, as well as working with developers, brokers, businesses and property owners along the corridor.

The EDC meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 8:30 am.
