The Groveton/Beacon Hill Community Business Center spans Beacon Hill, with the intersection of Richmond Highway and Beacon Hill Road forming its geographic center. The Beacon Mall shopping center, owned by Saul Centers, a Washington DC-based REIT, contains a Lowes and Giant Food as its two major tenants and includes notable tenants Panera, Chipotle, and Starbucks.
The North Hill project, at the intersection of Richmond Highway and Dart Drive, is planned for affordable 278-multifamily units and 196 market-rate townhomes.
Previously, Beacon Hill hosted an airfield, then an indoor mall, and now a retail center and multifamily building.
