About Project:

The Mount Vernon Gateway project was started in the early 2000’s and was approved in 2005 but market conditions led to the collapse of the project. Elm Street has recently reinvigorated the project and has been awarded zoning approval (April 2022) for 280 multi-family dwelling units near the intersection of Richmond Highway and Buckman rd.

Recent Developments:

Approval to rezone 5.42-acres near the corner of Buckman Road and Richmond Highway from PDH-30 to the PRM district. The proposed development includes a multi-family building with 280 dwelling units, structured parking, a public park space and gateway design features.
