North Gateway/Huntington is the northernmost area of the Richmond Highway Corridor covered by SFDC. The area’s namesake, North Gateway, reflects its geographic importance, where Richmond Highway connects to the Capital Beltway and the terminus of the Yellow Line at Huntington Metro Station.
The area connects to the Eisenhower Avenue Corridor in Alexandria, home of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the National Science Foundation, the National Harbor Convention Center and MGM Casino in Maryland, and Old Town, Alexandria.
North Gateway/Huntington is attractive to developers; two multi-family developments have delivered, with substantial planning underway for more development.
